WHY us?

We have been doing this for over 15 years and pride ourselves not only on the quality of our work, but our personal attention to you. The first thing we'll do when we start a new project, is to be sure we fully understand what you are hoping to achieve by mastering with us. We work just as hard for the local band of twelve year olds, who recorded in their parents' garage, as we do with our major label artists.

We've built our studio from the ground up, with impeccable acoustics in mind, resulting in an accurate and sonically balanced environment. Our choice of carefully selected gear and plugins is a result of years of refinement while keeping up with the latest technology. Although gear is important, it's the experience, well trained ears and good taste that produces the best results. All the gear in the world can't replace a good mastering engineer.

At Wavelength we are proud to say that our chief mastering engineer, Jason Carter, are among those few that just "get it". His experience as both an engineer and musician spans over 20 years with hundreds of credits to his name.

We encourage you to listen to some of our examples to the right to hear for yourself.

WHY you should master your project?

Mastering is the last step of the recording process, and just as important as the first two. When you record and mix, there are often inconsistencies in volumes, equalization and noise floor. Mastering can correct these problems and make your music sound dynamic and cohesive, rather than a random collection of songs. Even if you're only releasing a single song, don't underestimate the advantages of mastering. In addition to making your project sound great and ready for duplication, mastering with us includes embedding ISRC codes, CD text and bar code information that is crucial when releasing your music in the marketplace. Here at Wavelength we have all the equipment and expertise to make your tracks sound as good as possible.
